			In 1989 a competition was offered by Löbbecke, Bankers, Berlin concerning a connecting bridge/ sculpture between the historical monumentVilla Ilse & the bank's newly constructed glass building at Fasanenstraße 76/ 77. Mona Fux won the competition, beating 10 other sculptors and architects,with her sketch of a stylized bird. The bridge/ sculpture is named Phoenix, standing for the merge of the ancient & the contemporary. The bridge has a length of 13 m and a height of 20 m.
